Orvis Dogs Facebook friend Maria Wilson pointed out a great puppy cam hosted on explore.org, which allows you to check in on a litter of pups destined to be service dogs for wounded warriors. Here’s the description from the page:
Welcome to the Warrior Canine Connection (WCC) Puppy Enrichment Center! It is here that Wounded Warriors and WCC staff and volunteers give WCC’s Golden and Labrador Retriever puppies the early nurturing and training they need to develop into life-changing service dog partners of combat veterans with disabilities. The puppies learn to love, trust, and bond with humans through all of the positive interactions they have with legions of Warriors and volunteers. This is where they learn how to learn, and then progress to basic commands starting at about four weeks of age. – See more at: https://explore.org/live-cams/player/service-puppy-cam#sthash.96j7Xwtq.dpuf
There’s also a wonderful series of cams from the Service Dog Project, in Ipswich, Massachusetts, which raises Great Danes to help people who have Multiple Sclerosis, individuals with Friedreich’s ataxia, and veterans with disabilities.
