New Chemical-Sterilization Method Can Replace Neutering, But Is It Good Enough?

As a way to limit dog populations and reduce the number of strays, neutering is the best option. But there are some folks who feel that this puts a dog through unnecessary pain and potentially dangerous surgery. Now there is an alternative, but not everone thinks it’s such a great idea.

The Humane Society of San Bernardino (CA) is the first place to offer the procedure called “Zeutering,” which is chemical sterilization performed by injecting the chemical Zeuterin into the reproductive organs of male dogs.
