Back in October, blog reader Morgan Ford sent a photo of a killer brown he caught on the Laramie River. Now Ford, who is studying fisheries biology at the University of Wyoming, has edited together some of his favorite footage from a year on the water:

2011 was a good year for me. I caught my largest brook, brown, rainbow, cutthroat, grayling, and catfish across 5 states, all on flies I tied. In fact, I didnt purchase a single pre-made fly. I managed to travel several thousand miles and explore new waters in my home state of Wyoming, as well as Montana, Colorado, Arizona and Missouri. . . .Fortunately, all of this was made possible by scholarships and cheap bacon.

Ah, I suddenly miss those years I spent in graduate school!
