The dry-fly addicts at frontsidefly.com, after months of silence, have released two great videos in a week. Here’s some footage from a lake in northern Sweden where huge mayflies bring fat arctic char to the surface. . .but only if you hit the perfect time and conditions:
This video is a short summary of 4 days of fishing at our beloved arctic char lake. It looks like we had a sweet time there at the lake but to be honest, we almost lost out minds due to the frustrating weather. So this is the footage at the rare hours when the fishing and weather was good.
For a brook-trout fisherman like me, these big arctic char are particularly appealing because of their resemblance to our East Coast natives. But rarely do we see them this fat and happy.
