Great news for fans of online fly-fishing magazines: new issues of This is Fly and flymage have recently hit the Interweb, offering lots of great photography, video, and words.
The February-March This is Fly features articles on Florida’s winter tarpon, Great Lakes steelhead, and even tigerfish of deepest Africa. There are also two cool interviews: one with the filmmaker and musician behind the film Reverb, about some Chicago punk rockers who love to fly-fish the Driftless Region of southwestern Wisconsin, and the other with a young bamboo-rod maker from New Jersey. (He has some succinct advice for those who look down on the Garden State.)
In the new flymage, you’ll find an important piece on conserving Alaska’s Bristol Bay, some great fly patterns, and a boatload of fabulous photography—especially the shots of Atlantic salmon and rivers in eastern Canada.
