My friend Greg Thomas—editor of Fly Rod & Reel and host of the Angler’s Tonic blog—sent me these photos along with a note:

And here’s a recent set from the Grand Cascapedia on the Gaspe Peninsula in Quebec. This is what a 20-pounder does when it’s a little PO’d after being landed. Great trip to a wonderful part of the world. Fished out of Bonaventure Lodge and Salmon Lodge. Great experience. Landed 10 for the week, lost two, and had two other grabs where the hook just didn’t set. (Photos by Geoff Moore of Williams Lake, British Columbia, who works for the Cariboo Chilcotin Coast Tourism Association.)

Looks like a lot of fun, and a cooling splash after all that work must have been refreshing.

On another note, the latest issue of Fly Rod & Reel features a Tom Rosenbauer article on the Delaware River and the “ghosts” of Lordville. Look for it on your local newsstand.
