The American Museum of Fly Fishing is located right next to the Orvis Flagship store in Manchester, Vermont. It’s a great place to visit, but it’s certainly not that convenient for folks from the rest of the country. That’s why more and more material is going online, such as the great “A Graceful Rise” exhibit.

Now there’s even more content, via a blog called The Battenkill Beat. My favorite post so far, by Peter Nardini, features some of the fishing gear used by President Calvin Coolidge, who was an avid angler. I’ve included a few of the photos from the post here, but there’s lots more, as well as the story behind the collection on The Battenkill Beat. Check it out!
