A few weeks ago, we asked you to share your images of an #OrvisRecon in its natural habitat for a chance to win this sweet, limited edition Orvis Recon CFO reel.
Per usual we had great images to choose from but one found its way to the top. So, congratulations to Scott Kinsman for his winning image! Scott’s a guide at Paradise Guest Ranch in Buffalo, WY.
One of our photo judges nailed it when he chose Scott’s image because it “captures the Recon ethos of exploring new water.”
Scott had this to say about his photo:
“One of the other fly fishing guides and I at Paradise Ranch spend our days off exploring and hiking into the Wyoming back country in hopes of finding new spots that experience little pressure and are blue ribbon fishing to take customers to. On this particular day, we hiked down into a deeply cut canyon and stumbled upon the spot of a lifetime. I will not name the spot, but I will never forget the day we first fished this and realized that we had found an absolute gem.”
