Last month we celebrated one year of Women’s Silver Sonic Waders by giving a pair away. Now the results are in, and our winner is Doris Garrett of Siloam Springs, AR!
“I am going to Pro Outfitters in June for the all women’s week with Molly Semenik. This will be my 3rd year there and it is so much fun. I have been fly fishing for about 12 years. I am 65 years old so I got a late start fly fishing. I started fly fishing with my son, after a weekend of guided fishing on the White river in a boat, with a rod and reel. And that progressed to a fly rod. I am mostly self taught, read books, and just went to the river and fished. Of course I developed some bad habits I had to overcome. My husband and I did a guided trip with Molly Semenik in 2003 in Livingston MT, while on vacation. Stopped at a fly shop and the owner set us up with Mollly. She taught me so much that day and that really jump started my fly fishing passion. Wish I had of started fly fishing when I was much younger. I love fly fishing and it is a passion with me. I fish the tail waters of the White Rivers. I mostly fish the tail water below Beaver Dam, because it is much closer to where I live, but also have fished Norfork and Bull Shoals rivers. I love to fish all the western states trout waters, and will never be able to fish all the streams that I want too. I love fly fishing and will introduce it to my three grandchildren while they are young, and hope they enjoy it as much as I do. They already go camping with grandma and fish with a rod and reel for trout. They are just now getting old enough (9, 7, and 6), and tall enough to wade. Almost time for a pair of waders and a fly rod.”
Congratulations Doris! We hope you enjoy your new Women’s Silver Sonic Waders.
