Almost every Wednesday, we feature a fly-tying video from Tightline Productions, and I usually make it a point to mention that they’re the best in the business. But that was before blog reader Jim Paden pointed me to this incredible video from Samuel Johnson of the Inspirations Art Channel, starring a phenomenal fly tier named Stan Lowe. Stan twists up a rather incredible pike fly, and teaches you a lot about glue. I don’t know how I’m going to break the news to Tim Flagler.
Warning I: Some NSFW language.
Warning II: Kids, don’t try this at home.

Until Stan demonstrates he can tie the Squirminator, Tim’s place is secure!
This is a work of genius. I have watched it every day since it was posted. It actually gets funnier every time.
Lol!! Stan Lowe is my new hero, let’s get some more of him on the ole’ Orvis news feed!
Damn! I’ve got tears in my eyes from laughing so hard – cat thinks I’ve lost my mind.
Since Stan is wearing a Ducks Unlimited shirt I assume he might be a hunter. If so, I hope he doesn’t load his own shotgun shells.
What a great video I haven’t laughed that hard in so long. Keep the videos of Stan coming.
Watch out Hank Patterson, serious competition for funny
Does Orvis sell that glue? If so set aside a case for me!
