In honor of Veterans Day, here is a gorgeous film about an organization called Warriors & Quiet Waters, which provides traumatically injured U.S. servicemen and women from Iraq and Afghanistan with a high-quality restorative program, through the therapeutic experience of fly fishing. I first heard about WQW from my friend, Dave Kumlien, who serves as director of fishing operations, and he shared some wonderful stories about the powerful experiences he has had hosting the veterans who attend these retreats. The video is 17 minutes long, but well worth your time. When it’s done, visit the WQW website for more information or to leave a donation.

Great Foundation. Let’s not forget Warriors & Quiet Waters out of Montana! You folks are doing great work and we can never appreciate you or our active soldiers & veterans (wounded or not) enough.
