In this video, Steve Galletta of Bighorn Angler—on the Bighorn River in Fort Smith, Montana—explains how to use all the different kinds of products made to help your flies float better.
It turns out that there’s a lot more to keep the fly floating than you might have imagined, depending on whether your fly is right out of your box, has been fished for a while, or has been in a trout’s mouth. The particular products Steve uses aren’t all that relevant, so don’t feel like you have to run out and buy new stuff. Pay more attention to when and how he uses liquids, gels, and dessicants.
