December in Colorado may be cold, but the fish keep biting.

We’ve previously posted thrice about Colorado angler and blogger Jon Hill‘s forays into the Colorado mountains in search of cutthroats. (See here, here, and here.) Now he’s back with some pics from his last trip, which he sent along with this note:

A couple times a year a bunch of us from a fly-fishing forum get together and do a little fishing, fly swapping, and barbecuing. For this swap, we each tied up 36 flies and swapped them out. Being the first day of December, you couldn’t ask for nicer weather. Although it was 28 degrees when I arrived, it soon warmed up, and the fishing was hot! Plus, my friend Alan Peak, with the mustache, has the best grip-and-grin pose I have ever witnessed!

Alan’s pose, and his method of holding the net, are the epitome of grace.
