Welcome to another edition of our trivia challenge, where we test your knowledge of all things fly fishing and where you might learn a thing or two about this sport we love. The scores on last week’s quiz were pretty low, with nobody scoring 100, which is a sign that perhaps it was a tough one. Two commenters did get 90% right, however. (Well done, Brian O and Steve Root!) I must have been in a bad mood.
I do notice that the harder the quiz, the fewer people post their scores. The quiz software tells me how many folks actually take each quiz, and I can tell you that it’s a lot more than the number who posted their scores. C’mon, we’re all friends here.
The randomly chosen winner of this quiz will receive a signed copy of Tom’s book The Orvis Guide to the Essential American Flies. This is a great book for anyone who wants to learn a little history about time-tested patterns, as well as learn how to tie them. Last week’s book winner was Harold, who just barely squeaked by with a low D, but he still took the prize.
So, take this week’s quiz, and no matter how well or poorly you do, post your score in the comments below to be eligible to win Tom’s book with his scrawlings on the title page.
Good luck!
