Friday Fly-Fishing Film Festival 03.26.21

Welcome to an all new edition of the Orvis News Friday Fly-Fishing Film Festival! Every week, we scour the Web for the best fly-fishing videos available and then serve them up for you to enjoy. This week, we’ve got thirteen great videos that will transport you from Sweden to South America and from Wisconsin to Wyoming, as these filmmakers explore issues of legacy, conservation, and simple beauty.

For best results, watch all videos at full-screen and in high definition. Remember, we surf so you don’t have to. But if you do stumble upon something great that you think is worthy of inclusion in a future F5, please post it in the comments below, and we’ll take a look.

We kick things off with a gorgeous video and guitar performance from our friend Håvard Stubø of Jazz and Fly Fishing. Listen to his interview with Tom on last week’s podcast.
Some pretty glorious bull-trout action from British Columbia. Helicopters are cool.
Wisconsin’s Driftless Area streams get the star treatment here.
Here’s a beautiful short about fathers and sons . . . and grandsons on the water with a fly rod.
One woman’s love of brook trout is the subject of this short video from Cape Breton.

A cool video from Slovenia, but make sure you wait for the big reveal at the end.
This video asks a question we’ve all wondered about when we fish special places.
Just a couple minutes of Argentina goodness.
Most fly fishers have heard of Carrie Stevens, but do you know about the other Carrie who was important in American fly-fishing history?
Heading uphill to find trout.
Atlantic salmon fishing in northern Sweden produces some stunning fish.
Finally, here’s a full episode of The New Fly Fisher, in which Mark Melnyk checks out small streams and rivers that are all within a few hours of Lander, Wyoming.
