Welcome to the Orvis News Friday Fly-Fishing Film Festival! Each week, we scour the Web for the best fly-fishing videos available, and curate them for you. This week, we’re serving up eleven killer productions that are mostly from far-flung destinations, including South America, Sweden, and The Seychelles. Never fear: on this Fourth of July weekend, we’ve certainly got some homegrown videos. There are also a few really great narratives that take things beyond the fishing itself, which is always a treat.
For best results, watch all videos at full-screen and in high definition. Remember, we surf so you don’t have to. But if you do stumble upon something great that you think is worthy of inclusion in a future F5, please post it in the comments below, and we’ll take a look.
Man, that Eeland Stribling video is great, comparing fishing for permit to waiting in the DMV! I’m glad to see Eelaand finally got a permit. I’m still waiting for my first one. They all seem to inspect my flies and say “no way!”
Eeland is a cool guy. I saw him on a Trouts (fly shop) video, and he does great educational work.
Eeland and Orvis, please keep up the videos with such great content, insight, humor, and empathy!
Thanks and Have Fun!
