Welcome to the latest edition of the Orvis News Friday Fly-Fishing Film Festival, in which we scour the Web for the best fly-fishing videos available. This week offered a great eclectic mix of videos from oddball locations and featuring diverse species. From the trout lakes of Tasmania to the grayling waters of Sweden, and from the islands of the Malacca Strait to the carptastic Snake River, there’s lots to feast your eyes on. But don’t worry: we’ve got plenty of gorgeous and exciting trout action in these dozen videos, as well.

We kick things off with a cool promotional video about fly fishing in Tasmania, which is certainly one of the coolest places I have ever fished. Next year, the island will host the World Fly Fishing Championship.

A lovely day of trout fishing on Whiteman’s Creek, a tributary of the Grand River in Ontario.
This isn’t much of a fly-fishing video, but holy cow is that a lovely spot to be fishing in.
There’s no sound here, but I love this archival footage of shad fishermen in (I assume) California in the 1950s or 60s. Check out the double-hauling and the trick of holding the fly line in your mouth.

Finally, a beautiful dawn off the coast of Belize offers great shots at juvenile tarpon.
