Friday Fly-Fishing Film Festival 12.13.19: Friggatriskaidekaphobia Edition!
Welcome to our second Friday the 13th edition of the Orvis News Friday Fly-Fishing Film Festival in just three months! And we missed the full moon by just one day, or things would have been even spookier. Each week, we scour the Web for the best fly-fishing videos available and then serve them up for you to enjoy. This week, we’ve got fourteen glorious fly-fishing videos, including four from the upcoming film festivals that help anglers make it through the long winter.
For best results, watch all videos at full-screen and in high definition. Remember, we surf so you don’t have to. But if you do stumble upon something great that you think is worthy of inclusion in a future F5, please post it in the comments below, and we’ll take a look.
We kick things off with a cool trailer for a film by Gilbert Rowley, which will be part of this year’s International Fly Fishing Film Festival (IF4).
And here’s a trailer from the Fly Fishing Film Tour (f3t). This film is about a woman I met at Wollaston Lake Lodge two summers ago, and she is as authentic as they come.
Here’s a short, sweet look at winter fishing in Utah.
They got stripahs out they-ah on The Cape.

Just a half a minute of sweet bull-trout action from young Max Rhulen.
Another doozy of a trailer from the IF4, this one about chasing giant brook trout in Labrador.
The dudes from Carpe Diem had a tough time getting this beautiful trout to eat.
Dou you like to be stoked? The folks from f3t are here to help.
This video highlights the excitement of a float trip down a trout-filled river in Chile.

The Atlantic salmon action on Russia’s Belousiha River looks pretty amazing.
Finally, here’s a great, longish video about a group of guys who head to Canada to chase bull trout and cutthroats.
