Let’s Get These Kids Into the Green River Single Fly

Jace and A.J. are very passionate about fly fishing and conservation.

Twin Territory is the brainchild of Jace and A.J. Garcia, real-life teenage twins from Utah whose website and Facebook page promote their love of fishing, hunting, outdoor activities. Their latest goal is to take part in the Green River Single Fly tournament at the end of this month. The only problem? The $2,000 entry fee, which will go toward projects on the Green and its tributaries to benefit trout and local ethical angling pursuits.

Jace and A.J. have launched a gofundme campaign to raise the necessary entry fee (remember: it’s really a donation to TU), and they’re all ready halfway there. This story combines many things we love: young anglers, conservation, and passion for fly fishing. Just read their description of why they want to do this:

In summary, would we die to participate, YES. Do we love what TU is doing for our Rivers? YES. Would we like to meet all of the amazing competitors? HECK YES! Do we need help getting the $2,000 entry fee. Yes.

So how about we help them get over the finish line so they can represent their local chapter?

Note: If you’d like to participate in the tournament yourself, here’s how:

First call Dan Roper at 406-514-0084 or email him at dandcroper@msn.com and me know you want to field a team. I will send you three things:
1. A copy of the Team Registation Form,
2. A copy of the Acknowledgement of Risk Form
3. A copy of the GRSF Rules.
You will need to fill out and email back the “Team Registration Form” and one “Acknoledgment of Risk Form” for each team member. Finally please make a check to the “Trout Unlimited High Desert Anglers” and mail it to Bruce Haines (the HDA chapter treasurer) at PO Box 973 Vernal, UT 84078.
