Our recent Helios 2 Giveaway generated thousands of entries, but when all was said and done, the widget spit out a randomly chosen winner: Ben Woodard of Arkadelphia, Arkansas. For his prize, Ben chose an 8′ 6″ Mid Flex 4-weight to use on his home waters. I asked him for a short fly-fishing bio, and here’s what he sent:
I started fly fishing at the age of 12, and it so happens that my dad was an Orvis man. Growing up in Waco, Texas, there weren’t a whole lot of trout, but white bass were something we had too much of. I now am a guide in Arkansas, and can’t wait to use the Helios 2 out on some of the best rivers in the U.S.
Yesterday was actually Ben’s 21st birthday, so he times it perfectly. Congrats to Ben, and thanks to all who entered the contest. We’ll launch another one soon, so stay tuned!
