Molly Semenik should be no stranger to readers of the Women in Fly Fishing blog, as she has been featured here many times—for her casting skills, her angling prowess, and her teaching methods. So when I discovered that she’ll be leading a women-only trip this fall in Colorado, I was intrigued.

From September 6-10, Molly will lead a group of women to fish the Big Laramie River at Rawah Ranch, in northern Colorado about 20 miles south of the Wyoming border. Here’s how Molly describes the trip on her blog:

The Rawah ranch is perched at 8,400 feet in the undiscovered Big Laramie River valley surrounded by the Rawah Wilderness Area. Two miles of the Big Laramie River run right through the property. Our angling pursuits could result in a wide array of trout: rainbows, browns, brookies, and native Colorado greenback cutthroats. The day will go something like this: instruction with Molly, a day of fishing, a hot shower, social hour, a wonderful dinner, and the option of enjoying a hot tub prior to a good nights rest. New to this year’s trip will be the addition of Certified Yoga Instructor Jillian Grenrood, who will offer a core yoga class each day for all levels. The RawaH Ranch is the perfect setting for my trip themes; a good time, a focus on good health and a renewed spirit.

It’s not all about fishing, of course.

The Rocky Mountains offer incredible scenery and a sense that you’re away from it all.
