We’re getting another snowstorm tomorrow, so it’s the perfect time to sit down and page through some of these great new issues of online angling magazines. The March issue of flymage features a cool story on fishing within Madrid city limits, some incredible saltwater images, and lots more.
Coming in at a whopping 180 pages, the spring 2014 Revive features a ton of great content, from the photography of Jay Morr, to a story and video of fly-fishing for tarpon, to smallmouth fishing in the Midwest. There’s definitely something for everyone here.
Fin Chasers is a European publication that focuses on travel, and this issue is chockfull of incredible images and stories from locations as diverse as The Seychelles, the jungles of New Caledonia, and Iceland. This stuff is made for daydreaming.
Scale combines spin fishing and fly fishing, you you can skip over anything that doesn’t feel like it’s up your alley, but there’s plenty here to entertain. The feature on fly-fishing in Greenland is worth the price of admission (which is free, of course).
The Contemporary Sportsman offers lots of great writing and photography, from such luminaries as Rick Bass, Mark Lance, and Jeff Bright. It may be the most traditional of the bunch, but the quality of the work more than makes up for that.
