Today, Orvis and Hell’s Bay Boatworks, the renowned Florida-based boat maker, announced the launch of a new special-edition skiff package that benefits Florida fisheries. The Orvis Edition Package, which can be added to any of Hell’s Bay Boatworks Skiffs, features unique color accents, upgraded components, and an Orvis Helios 3 Rod package. Even better, every purchase of the Orvis Edition Package includes a donation to select conservation partners that are working to promote clean water and protect Florida’s fisheries.
Design work for the project began in 2020, with Hell’s Bay Boatwork’s Captain Chris Peterson and Orvis President Simon Perkins collaborating on details and components. The design takes style cues from Orvis brand and product logos and features high-end components, such as full carbon decks and SeaDek traction. The collaborative upgrade package will be available for five of Hell’s Bay Boatworks’ popular and revolutionary flats boats, and also includes an Orvis Helios 3 Rod, an Orvis Mirage Reel, and an Orvis Boat Bag.
“This partnership not only signifies a common love for getting out on the water, but a passion for craft and attention to detail that when combined create incredible experiences,” says Orvis President Simon Perkins. “Orvis and Hell’s Bay Boatworks’ shared commitment to the natural world and desire to promote conservation of our coastal waterways reinforces the mutual dedication to protecting what we love.”
“Hell’s Bay Boatworks and Orvis are both entrenched in the fight for healthy fisheries and clean water. We are excited to announce our partnership to create a skiff that exemplifies that effort and speaks to our mutual commitment to providing best-in-class products for our customers,” says Captain Chris Peterson of Hell’s Bay Boatworks.
