What’s better than witnessing the joy of a child discovering the magic of fly fishing?

Fly fishing has an amazing of way bringing people together. At Madison Valley Ranch, our staff, their families, and friends came together for a Family Fishing Day last weekend. We did casting lessons and fishing instruction on our pond and had about 35 new anglers–ages 6 to 60+–really taking to the sport and enjoying the outdoors. It was fun especially great to see the young ones learning, asking questions, and gaining a skill they will hopefully carry with them for many years.

New anglers of all ages took to the water and not only learned the basics of fly fishing, but landed some great trout in the process, gaining a lifelong skill. It is such a joy to see people gather and connect with nature through the sport of fly fishing. We can’t wait to see where it takes them next.
