My Day 12 fish, the only trout we landed during a beautiful morning float, ate a streamer on the Battenkill this morning.

It’s Day 15 of our Facebook-based “20 September Days” Contest, and since “thirty days hath September,” that means we’re halfway home. How are you doing so far? I’m in good shape, having fished on 12 of the 15 days so far, as evidenced by the sweet little wild brown I caught this morning on the Battenkill (above).
It’s still not too late for you to get in on the action. Sure, you won’t hit 20 days if you start now, but all we’re looking for is a good effort at getting out as often as you possibly can. At the end of the month, we’re picking three winners and offering some killer prizes, including a Recon Fly Rod.

I’ll be heading out for my 4th trip on Thursday. Rain over the weekend blew the rivers out, a minor setback.
9 days for me so far. Unfortunately this week’s weather in western Wyoming might prevent me from reaching 20.
