Mike Lembke of Wollaston Lake Lodge in Saskatchewan sent in three photos of lodge guest Gerry Graunke, or “Mr. G.,” who has been making the trip to the lodge for 22 years. The three fish shown here, caught in July, measured 48, 45, and 42 inches long.

Lembke says that the Helios 2 is his (and Mr. G’s) rod of choice for taming these beasts.

Big flies, big, water, big rods, and big fish.
I have been fly fishing at Wollaston Lake Lodge for almost 40 years. Each year the fishing has been better than the last year. i’m convinced this is because of Wollaston’s great management of their catch, careful handling and release programs. Their work in this area has allowed me to enjoy some of the finest fishing any place in the world. I have already booked my trip for 2016.
