Michael Atwood and his dad hiked down into the Black Canyon of the Gunnison a couple weeks ago to fish the famed salmonfly hatch. As these pictures reveal, they had a pretty good time.

  1. I’d give anything to fish again one day down there with my Dad. ALL you young people out there call your dad, call him often, it might be the last time you talk to him. When were these pictures taken?? seems low compared to current conditions in Colorado,,?

    1. Hi there, I am the one who originally sent these pictures to Phil Monahan. These pictures are from a couple of years ago, thats why the conditions look so much different than they are currently in most of CO. I feel very lucky to make trips such as this with my dad, and I appreciate your reminder for all of us. Take care!
