On Monday, I stalked tailing reds on the flats with Capt. Tuck Scott of Bay Street Outfitters based in Beaufort, South Carolina. Captain Scott put me into some great situations on these flats in his new Hells Bay flats boat. He was able to spot these tailing reds and then pole me into very shallow water (at one place only about 5 inches deep) to get me within shooting distance, and the H2 delivered! All the fish were caught on the Low Country Kwan pattern, with a titanium weed guard, tied by Beaufort’s own John Holbrook.

The fish were caught in very shallow water, thanks to Capt. Scott’s new flats boat.

This fish took Joel well into his backing.
