Orvis Buffalo Fishing Manager and resident steelheadmeister, Drew Nisbet, has been spending a lot of time on his local Lake Erie tributaries with his buddies over the past week, and he’s been finding some beautiful chromers. Swinging flies on his two-hander and drifiting nymphs have both proved effective. If you’re heading to the region, stop in and see Drew for the latest updates on these runs.

This beauty came to a swing fly on the Spey rod.

The new Hydros SL reel is getting a workout on these powerful fish.

Drew admires a firm steelhead that hasn’t been in the river long.

A small beadhead streamer on a loop knot is ready to swing.

That is one healthy fish!

To a steelheader, this is a beautiful day.

Another bright fish is ready to go back in the water.
