Here are a couple of great shots of angler Peggy P. with guide Todd Allen of Three Rivers Ranch, spring fly-fishing on the Henry’s Fork of the Snake River in Idaho. Peggy sent in these pictures with a note that said, “It was a great day, especially for me. I don’t think I have caught that many fish in one day over 20 inches anywhere, excluding Alaska, but then that doesn’t really count.”
The lower section of the Henry’s Fork has been fishing well, but the stretch from Ashton Dam to Vernon Bridge is currently closed until Memorial Day and the confluence of Fall River at Chester Dam is dirty due to runoff. Right now you can try a Blue-Winged Olive, midge pattern, or a streamer. Luckily, the caddisflies and March browns are right around the corner!
