Video Pro Tips: Fly-Fishing for Redfish 101

The latest how-to video from Ben Sittig, a.k.a Huge Fly Fisherman, is one of his most informative yet, as he walks you through all the basics of fly fishing for redfish. He brings on a couple of experienced guides to lend an air of gravitas, as well. If you’ve never fished for red drum, you need to give it a shot, and Ben’s video is a good primer to fill you in on the basics. The number one basic, of course, is to practice your dang casting.

Fact check: They are joking when they claim that a group of redfish is called a “murder.”

  1. A “murder of crows” is the accepted use of the collective noun, murder. It’s use for a group of redfish certainly captures an image of the redfish working together in a pack, flock, etc.!
Full marks to Ben for his creative use of the the term.
    Works for me!
