Take a Classic Phil Monahan Fly-Fishing Trivia Challenge 07.30.15

Welcome to another edition of our trivia challenge, where we test your knowledge of all things fly fishing and where you might learn a thing or two about this sport we love. This week, we’ve got a classic quiz featuring 10 questions, ranging from fly names to fly-fishing celebrities.

The performance on the last quiz was a huge leap forward, as we went from no perfect scores to an admirable eleven 100%s (plus nine folks who scored 95%). The most common score was a tie between 90% and 55%.

We continue to have two (2!) randomly chosen prize winners per week, thanks to Beattie Outdoor Productions. One winner will receive a copy of Fishtails—the latest compilation DVD, containing all of the films from the last 4 years of filming—and the other will get Carpland, a documentary-style adventure film about the history of carp in the United States.

Our last winners (as determined by random.org)—who will receive one of the DVDs above—were Jim S and RJ.

So post your score below for a chance at winning one of two great DVDs.

Good luck!

  1. 60% Ok but not good. Got the technical and the Walton questions right. Not the foreign rivers…

  2. 50%. I suck at these quizzes. How about some Hew Hampshire trivia next time? I might score 60%. Haha!
