Welcome to another edition of our weekly trivia challenge, in which we test your knowledge of all things fly fishing and where you might learn a thing or two about this sport we love. This week, we’ve got a classic quiz that features some fun questions and a couple that are deceptively tough.
Scores on the last quiz held steady with the week before, with three people achieved perfect scores. All hail Matthew, Dave F., and Jag A. An impressive seven people scored 90%, and the most common score jumped up ever so slightly to 50%. I did make an error that may have affected scores of some early quiz-takers. Due to a cut-and-paste fiasco, question 7 inadvertantly had the “Chile” where “California” was supposed to be. If you missed that one, add 10% to your score.
The winner of this week’s random drawing will receive a copy of George Daniel’s great new book Nymph Fishing: New Angles, Tactics, and Techniques, from Stackpole Books. Daniel covers specialized equipment, flies, and presentations, focusing on advanced lessons and tips for anglers with a solid grasp of fundamentals.
The winner of our last quiz (as determined by random.org), and recipient of George’s book, is Shoo-Fly, whose score was one question shy or perfect.
So post your score below (or below the post on our Facebook page!) for a chance to win a great book.
