Welcome to another edition of our weekly trivia challenge, in which we test your knowledge of all things fly fishing and where you might learn a thing or two about this sport we love. This week, we’ve got a new set of ten questions about scientific terms, fly-fishing history, famous trout rivers, and more.
The last quiz was clearly expert-level stuff, as there were no perfect scores. However, five responders scored 90%: MarkT, Stan Orlowski, Jim J, Peter D, and–for the third week in a row!—Alan Burrows. Come on, Alan, you can get over the top! The most common score jumped up one spot to 60%.
The winner of this week’s random drawing will receive The Orvis Fly-Tying Guide, by none other than the great Tom Rosenbauer. This essential book on fly tying will teach anyone how to tie flies. All the important techniques are illustrated with color photographs, from starting the thread on the hook to whip finishing.
