Take an All-New Phil Monahan Fly-Fishing Trivia Challenge 01.07.16

Welcome to another edition of our weekly trivia challenge, in which we test your knowledge of all things fly fishing and where you might learn a thing or two about this sport we love. This week, you’re faced with ten questions covering a wide array of subjects, including geography, fly-tying history, and trout taxonomy.

On the last quiz, there were no perfect scores, but three perspicacious readers came close, with a 90%—congrats to Tim S, Winston, and Stephen! The most common score was a much better 60%.

The randomly chosen winner for this quiz will receive a copy of the Catch Magazine Season #7 DVD, full of killer videos by Todd Moen.

Our last winner was Kurt S, whose score as average as can be.

So post your score below for a chance at a great DVD of fly-fishing action.

  1. Scored 100% but wasn’t sure about the bull trout question. Luck had me guessing right: the other three are salmos v. salvelinus , but the question probably referred to fish available in the US and I got it good.
