Take an All-New Phil Monahan Fly-Fishing Trivia Challenge 01.10.19

Welcome to another edition of our weekly trivia challenge, in which we test your knowledge of all things fly fishing and where you might learn a thing or two about this sport we love. This week, we’ve got another 10 brand-new questions about famous authors, fish species, fly tiers, and lots more!

The last quiz was another toughie, but one person mastered it. Big pat on the back to Ethan R! An impressive ten people scored 90%–most didn’t know that there are two tarpon species–and the most common score plummeted to 40%!

The winner of this week’s random drawing will receive a copy of Chico Fernandez’s great book Fly Fishing for Bonefish, from Stackpole Books. The book covers finding bonefish from a skiff and while wading, as well as catch-and-release. Details on the bonefish’s environment and its food provide the essential background, and you’ll learn what tackle and flies to take and how to cast efficiently in the flats.

The winner of our last quiz (as determined by random.org), and recipient of Tom Rosenbauer’s great book The Orvis Guide to Hatch Strategies: Successful Fly Fishing for Trout Without Always Matching the Hatch, is Len, whose score was extremely popular.

So post your score below (or below the post on our Facebook page!) for a chance to win a great book.

Good luck!
