Take an All-New Phil Monahan Fly-Fishing Trivia Challenge 02.11.16

Welcome to another edition of our weekly trivia challenge, in which we test your knowledge of all things fly fishing and where you might learn a thing or two about this sport we love. This week, we’ve got ten new question about geography, fish species, history, and fly names.

On the last quiz, there were four perfect scores, turned in by Rob Woodruff, Tim Sheffield, Scott Sandlin, and Stephen Fitch. Eight other readers scored 90%, including Michael N, who was taking the Trivia Challenge for the very first time. Once again, the most common score was a dead-middle 50%. . .but 40% was close behind.

The randomly chosen winner of this week’s quiz will receive a cool collection of stickers for the car, boat, guitar case, etc. The winner of our last quiz (as determined by random.org) was Sig, whose score was followed by the editorial comment “blerp.”

So post your score below for a chance at some great stickers.

Good luck!

  1. 60 per cent. I’m pretty sure the two biggest all-tackle bonefish were caught in South Africa. That might just be a legend that circulates among South African fly fisherman, but hey, that’s what I heard.

  2. 40%

Can’t wait to get back from this deployment and get some much need time back on the water with my boys.

  3. 50%, some stickers would be cool to have since I just broke my orvis Clearwater special! Hopefully it’ll be back soon from repairs!
