Take an All-New Phil Monahan Fly-Fishing Trivia Challenge 06.11.15

Welcome to another edition of our trivia challenge, where we test your knowledge of all things fly fishing and where you might learn a thing or two about this sport we love. This week, we’re back with ten new questions to tickle the ol’ gray matter.

The performance on the last quiz was stayed steady at the top, with three perfect scores: Huzzah for Frank, charlie falchetti, and Paul Scarafu, who all achieved perfection with no help. However, the most common score jumped from a pathetic 30% to a very respectable 70%. Way to bring up the curve, folks!

We continue to have two (2!) randomly chosen prize winners per week, thanks to Beattie Outdoor Productions. One winner will receive a copy of Fishtails—the latest compilation DVD, containing all of the films from the last 4 years of filming—and the other will get Carpland, a documentary-style adventure film about the history of carp in the United States.

Our last winners (as determined by random.org)—who will receive one of the DVDs above—were Jason and Cory Geohagan.

So post your score below for a chance at winning one of two great DVDs.

Good luck!

  1. 90%. Though I assumed you meant that 1973 makes the introduction of the first graphite rod. Thanks as always

    1. D’oh. Man, that question tortured me. I had the correct word, “graphite,” in the answers page, but then accidentally wrote “fiberglass” in the question. Thanks for the heads-up.
