Take an All-New Phil Monahan Fly-Fishing Trivia Challenge 12.03.15

Welcome to another edition of our weekly (sort of) trivia challenge, in which we test your knowledge of all things fly fishing and where you might learn a thing or two about this sport we love. This week, we’ve got ten brand-new brain ticklers to make you scratch your head.

On the last quiz, there were NO perfect scores—mostly because the first question, about how to pronounce “Popo Agie,” stumped 86% of you. However, three folks scored 90%: Tim S, Stephen Fitch, and Dave. (Correct answer: puh-POE-zha.) The most common score was 60%, which is about average.

The randomly chosen winner for this quiz will receive a copy of the great book from our own Tom Rosenbauer, The Orvis Guide to Family-Friendly Fly Fishing.

Our last winner was Troutsneak, whose score we won’t discuss at all.

So post your score below for a chance at winning Tom’s book. . .signed by the man hisself.

Good luck!

  1. 30 percent. Wow–I don’t know if I’ve ever done so poorly. But I don’t want to find out, either. Still, the three I got right I *really* knew. Three. Ouch. Wow.

  2. 70% – but I will say the Copper River question is suspect. Since the Copper River in southeast does not flow in the the lake, but into the ocean by Cordova.
