Welcome to another edition of our trivia challenge, where we test your knowledge of all things fly fishing and where you might learn a thing or two about this sport we love. This one’s got 10 new questions that will see how much you know about fly names, but—since many folks commented that the saltwater questions threw off their scores last week—I made this one trout-only. (For each question, choose the best answer.)
Many people fared very well on the last quiz. In fact, there were thirty-one perfect scores, which I believe is one shy of the record. Many readers said that it was too easy. Don’t worry, I’ll get you at a later date.
The randomly chosen winner of this week’s quiz will receive a signed copy of Tom’s book The Orvis Guide to Small Stream Fly Fishing. This is the book you need for those times when there is no specific hatch on. Last week’s book winner (as determined by random.org) was Ryan Monaghan (no relation, as that “g” implies), who didn’t achieve a perfect score but who turned a solid C into a free book.
