Take a Classic Phil Monahan Fly-Fishing Trivia Challenge 03.22.18

Welcome to another edition of our weekly trivia challenge, in which we test your knowledge of all things fly fishing and where you might learn a thing or two about this sport we love. This week, we serve up another set of ten classic questions about odd flies, book authors, and world records.

The scores on the last quiz saw a slight dip in form, with just four 100% scores. Give it up for Mike, andrew howard, shoo-fly, and Sarah Scott. An impressive 10 people scored 90%, and fully 18 got 80%! The most common score jumped up a bit, to 50%.

The winner of this week’s random drawing will receive a copy of Nick Curcione’s Saltwater Edge:
Tips and Tactics for Saltwater Fly Fishing
, from Stackpole Books. Curcione covers his entire saltwater system (knots, rigging, tackle, approach) with detailed information on shooting heads, sinking lines, and two-handed rods for the salt, which have not been covered thoroughly in any other book.

The winner of our last quiz (as determined by random.org), and recipient of a copy of Dave Karczynski & Tim Lanwehr’s Smallmouth: Modern Fly-Fishing Methods, Tactics, and Techniques,  was DWR, whose score was perfect . . .ly average.

So post your score below (or below the post on our Facebook page!) for a chance to win a great book.

Good luck!
