Take a Classic Phil Monahan Fly-Fishing Trivia Challenge 05.25.17

Welcome to the latest edition of our weekly trivia challenge, in which we test your knowledge of all things fly fishing and where you might learn a thing or two about this sport we love. This week, it’s an oldie but a goodie, with ten questions about mayflies, mayflies, and mayflies. How much do you know about these fascinating bugs?

The last quiz continued our recent run of no perfect scores, although the number of 90%ers doubled to four. Offer a polite nod to Dave F., Bob T, Al Cravinho, and BillR. The most common score bumped up a notch to 50%. The question that tripped up the most quiz-takers was about the man behind the Pat’s Rubberlegs. Although Pat Dorsey is often credited mistakenly, the true inventor was Henrys Fork guide Pat Bennett.

The winner of this week’s random drawing will receive an Klinkhammer Selection, featuring ten patterns.

The winner of our last quiz (as determined by random.org), and recipient of an Adams Family Fly Selection, was Anton Y, whose score was accompanied by the comment “Bleh.”

So post your score below for a chance to win a video that will help you become a better nymph fisherman.

Good luck!
