Take a Classic Phil Monahan Fly-Fishing Trivia Challenge 12.14.17

Welcome to another edition of our weekly trivia challenge, in which we test your knowledge of all things fly fishing and where you might learn a thing or two about this sport we love. Here’s another great classic quiz that will have you scratching your head over questions about famous fly-fishing women, tributaries of Montana rivers, and angling literature, among other subjects.

The last quiz was much like the one before that, as just one person– Dave F.–scored 100%. According to Dave, a “couple lucky guesses” got him all the way to the top. Two respondents, Clint Brumitt and Sig missed perfection by just a single question, and the most common score held steady at 50%.

The winner of this week’s random drawing will receive a Woolly Bugger Selection from Orvis, which includes nine flies–three coneheads, and six standard Buggers. These selections make great stocking stuffers, by the way, and the Woolly Buggers selection is even on sale right now.

The winner of our last quiz (as determined by random.org), and recipient Dave Karczynski’s wonderful new book Orvis From Lure to Fly: Fly Fishing for Spinning and Baitcast Anglers, was Zach, who declared “Ho hum 60%.”

So post your score below for a chance to win a great book.

Good luck!
