Take a Classic Phil Monahan Fly-Fishing Trivia Challenge 12.22.16

Welcome to another edition of our sorta-kinda weekly trivia challenge, in which we test your knowledge of all things fly fishing and where you might learn a thing or two about this sport we love. Here’s another great classic quiz, featuring 10 questions about flies, rivers, and history.

Our last quiz produced three perfect scores, turned in by Michael Scott, Brian Cron, and the seemingly ever-present Stephen Fitch. Three others achieved a 90%, and the most popular score held steady at 50. The toughest question was about Paiute trout, and only 13% of you knew that the species is found in California.

The winner of this week’s random drawing will receive a free download of the excellent new video “Modern Nymphing: European Inspired Techniques,” featuring Devin Olsen and Lance Egan.

The winner of our last quiz (as determined by random.org), and recipient of Bob Mallard’s 25 Best Towns Fly Fishing for Trout was Ben, whose score didn’t warrant a prize. (But he gets one anyway!)

So post your score below for a chance to win a video that will help you become a better nymph fisherman.

Good luck!

  1. I got a 40%… One of these days I’ll get a good score. Maybe the free download will help my fishing trivia.
