Take an All New Phil Monahan Fly-Fishing Trivia Challenge 03.02.17

Welcome to the latest edition of our weekly trivia challenge, in which we test your knowledge of all things fly fishing and where you might learn a thing or two about this sport we love. After skipping a week, we’re back with ten new questions about topics as diverse as famous fly tiers, geography, and the origin of fish names.

The last quiz was apparently a doozy, as there were no perfect scores, and just three people scored 90%: Mark Pfetzer, James Swiatek Jr., and Bryce. The most common score fell to 50%, and the most missed question revealed that just 21% of you knew what a baggot is.

The winner of this week’s random drawing will again receive a free download of the excellent new video “Modern Nymphing: European Inspired Techniques,” featuring Devin Olsen and Lance Egan.

The winner of our last quiz (as determined by random.org), and recipient of this great video was wayne, whose score fell a bit short.

So post your score below for a chance to win a video that will help you become a better nymph fisherman.

Good luck!

  1. 60% and no guesses on the correct answers. That calls for a nice cold Two Hearted Ale.
Two Hearted Ale is named after a river in:
    1) Maine
    2) Manitoba
    3) Michigan
    4) Montengro

  2. 40 %. I have done better…

But, for me Kamchatka is a well known destination for fishing large brown trout.
I guess there are no american fishing travel agencies going to Kamchatka.

And native trout in Africa, you can´t get any closer to a trick qustion than that.. 😉
