Welcome to another edition of our weekly trivia challenge, in which we test your knowledge of all things fly fishing and where you might learn a thing or two about this sport we love. This week, we’ve got an all-new set of ten questions about authors, famous fly-shop owners, fish anatomy, and famous rivers.
The last quiz stumped quite a few folks, and there was just one perfect score. Put your hands together for Cyndy Scholz! Another seven people missed just a single question, and the most common score fell to 60%.
That said, I must admit that there was a major error in the last quiz. Question 8 asked “The branches of what river come together near Steamboat?” And the answer was the Umpqua. But that was a total brain fart on my part. Steamboat Creek, not the South Umpqua, joins the North Umpqua at Steamboat. The two main forks come together near Roseburg. (Thanks to Austin Kamp for pointing out my goof.) I apologize for the error, and everyone who missed that question should add 10 points.

The winner of this week’s random drawing will receive a copy of Ed Engle’s wonderful book Tying Small Flies, from Stackpole Books. If you struggle at the vise when trying to create tiny midges, olives, and the like, then this is the book for you.
The winner of our last quiz (as determined by random.org), and recipient of an autographed copy of Tom Rosenbauer’s completely revised Orvis Fly-Fishing Guide, is Ron A, whose score was quite average.
So post your score below (or below the post on our Facebook page!) for a chance to win a great book.
Good luck!
