Take an All-New Phil Monahan Fly-Fishing Trivia Challenge 09.15.16

Welcome to another edition of our weekly(ish) trivia challenge, in which we test your knowledge of all things fly fishing and where you might learn a thing or two about this sport we love. This week, it’s an all-new quiz featuring more questions about fly-fishing states and their official fish species. There are a couple of doozies in this one.

On the last quiz, there were four perfect scores, turned in by Connor SkellyStephen Fitch, Winston, and Matthew Spencer. Michael J also scored 100%, but that was undercut by his comment, ‘Thanks Wikipedia!” Just three respondents scored 90%—Dave F. (second week in a row), Tommy, and Paul Scafaru—and the most common score held steady at 50%!

Post your score and you could win a cool fly selection.

The randomly chosen winner of this week’s quiz will receive a copy of the new coffee-table book The Search for Elusive Trout, from artist Deanna Camp and writer Paul Quinnet. We have featured Camp’s art before, and the book is both fun and beautiful.

The winner of our last quiz (as determined by random.org) was Zach, who scored 80%.

So post your score below for a chance at this awesome prize.

Good luck!

  1. Only 50 percent. But I’m pretty sure I caught a Deadhead Trout when I was in college. Not sure whether that gives extra credit, or takes points away.
