Welcome to another edition of our trivia challenge, where we test your knowledge of all things fly fishing and where you might learn a thing or two about this sport we love. Sorry about taking a week off, but the transition to the new blog platform and design took up all my time last week. Hope you folks are enjoying the new look and feel because I sure am.
This week, it’s another test of how well you know the names of famous fly patterns—for trout, warmwater species, salmon, and saltwater species. However, I think I made this one just a little harder than the last. The scores will tell.
The scores on last week’s Trivia Challenge were the best ever, with an astonishing thirty 100%s and many 90%s and 80%s, as well. Hell, I think the class average was an 80%.
The randomly chosen winner of this week’s quiz will receive a signed copy of Tom’s book The Orvis Guide to Family Friendly Fly Fishing. This is a great book for anyone who wants to teach their kids (or other people’s kids) or wives how to enjoy our wonderful sport. Last week’s book winner was markreno, who scored a respectable 80% and wrote, “my best score ever! that deserves a book! ” I guess random.org agreed.
So, take this week’s quiz, and no matter how well or poorly you do, post your score in the comments below to be eligible to win Tom’s book with his inspirational words on the title page.
Good luck!
