The Orvis Home Office in Sunderland, VT
Do you dream of finding a great job in the fly-fishing industry? If you read this blog regularly, you’re probably already aware of what a great place Orvis is to work—from the beautiful office building nestled into the Green Mountains, to the onsite bass pond, to the opportunity to run into Tom Rosenbauer every day. (Of course, I get to sit right next to him.)
This is an unusual time because the Rod & Tackle department–the one of the most interest for Fly Fishing blog readers–currently has two openings, including one for a Product Development Specialist, the kind of job that rarely is up for grabs.
Product Development Specialist – Rod & Tackle
Do you love flies and fly-tying materials? Because we’re looking for someone to take over these programs, as well as those for fly-fishing accessories, fly boxes, nets, and wading staffs. So if you’re all about the gadgets, this could be a dream job.
Merchandise Planner and Analyst – Rod & Tackle
Our Rod & Tackle and Wingshooting product lines are varied and comprehensive, so lots of analysis and planning go into making these businesses successful. The person in this position must possess a strong analytic skill set for developing meaningful reports, recognizing opportunities, and developing strategies.

Where would I ask questions specifically related to the Analyst position?
Good post. I understand some thing much more challenging on unique blogs everyday. It’ll usually be stimulating to read content from other writers and practice slightly one thing from their store. I’d prefer to utilize some using the content material on my blog whether or not you don’t thoughts. Natually I’ll provide you with a link on your net blog.
Hey Phil love the blog and all the great information that you put out. I saw the link you posted to job openings and was wondering if you guys also hire summer interns. I am a sophomore mechanical engineering major with aerospace minor interested in the design sector of fly fishing equipment. I would love to have an internship at such a great company and would appreciate if you could point me in the direction of who to talk to if possible! Thank you!
