Two new issues of great, regional fly-fishing magazines hit the digital newsstands this week. First up is A Tight Loop, which covers the Midwest. Solid photography and plenty of words, combined with simple design, make this one a fun read, and at more than 160 pages, it’s plenty meaty, too.

Anglers who live south of the Mason-Dixon Line, or who would like to travel there, will find plenty of interest in the latest issue of Southern Trout, which comes in at 124 pages. This one looks and feels more like a print magazine, and there are articles on destinations, flies, techniques, and personalities.
